The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is responsible for regulating and enforcing the access to and use of personal information. ICS Legal are regulated by the ICO, we ensure our practices and policies allow us to ensure our clients personal data are protected.
When you call us either for the very first time or you are an existing client, we aim to take some basic information regarding your query to help us forward it to the correct person. The type of information we would ask are:
- Your enquiry: we would expect you to provide us with details on your enquiry and tell us on the type of legal support you are looking for. If you are not sure, please inform us and we will explain the level of support we can provide you.
- Your first and surname
- Your contact number
- Your email address
- Your Immigration Status
- Your current/previous visa expiry date
- Your nationality
Once you provide the above information, we would be in a position to explain the next steps which may include coming to see us on a face to face consultation. Where, ICS Legal is not in a position to support you in your enquiry, our team will inform you straight away and provide alternative contact for support (we term this as “re-direction”).
Where face to face consultation is scheduled, this is an ideal way of discussing your case in more detail and explains the various routes available. You would be given the opportunity to ask the legal advisor any questions. However, we understand that immigration is a complex matter, your advisor will provide you with a “Client Case Reference”, so you can be in direct contact with your legal advisor at all times after the consultation.
